Chindogu is the Japanese art form of designing silly products that solve everyday dilemmas and problems. In Japanese, Chindogu has meaning. Chin means "curious" or "strange" and dogu means "tool" or "device.
Kenji Kawakami is the creator of Chindogu. He is one cool artist and his art form has pushed Studio M students to create their own Chindogu product. They also had to make a funny Chindogu commercial for their product. This was a super fun and amazing project to do with students. It really pushes their creativity and has them go through the design process with open minds and open hearts. |
